Treetop Trekking Miami

Ziplines and Aerial Adventures at Jungle Island

Treetop Trekking Miami: An Outdoor Adventure Above the City

Experience Treetop Trekking Miami, an aerial adventure park at Jungle Island where children and adults can climb, balance, swing and zip through a tropical canopy. Located along the shores of Biscayne Bay on Watson Island, between Downtown Miami and Miami Beach, this active outdoor attraction combines suspended bridges, obstacle courses and ziplines with unexpected views of the bay and Miami skyline.

Choose from four adventures based on age, height, desired challenge level and time of day. Younger children can build confidence on the Discovery Courses close to the ground. Older children and adults can start with the Explorer Trek, take on the higher and more demanding Thrill-Seeker Trek or experience the aerial courses after dark on the limited-availability Night Trek.

Each experience is self-guided after staff provide a safety briefing and fit participants with the required equipment. Once participants enter the course, trained staff supervise the activity from the ground.

Whether you are planning a family outing, looking for an alternative to the beach or searching for a Miami zipline experience, Treetop Trekking offers a different way to experience Miami outdoors.

Discovery Courses

This is the best introduction to Miami Treetop Trekking for younger children who are ready for an active challenge but not yet old or tall enough for the adult aerial courses.

Explorer Trek

Ideal For Older Children & Adults

The Explorer Trek is an introductory aerial adventure for older children and adults. Participants navigate two lower courses with suspended bridges, balance challenges, cable traverses and ziplines beneath the tropical canopy.

Thrill-Seeker Trek

For More Advanced Experiences

  • Minimum height: 55 inches
  • Approximately 2 to 2½ hours
  • 37 obstacles and 5 ziplines
  • Access to four aerial courses

Night Trek

An Evening in the Treetops

See the tropical canopy from an entirely different perspective on the Treetop Trekking Miami Night Trek. Participants use a headlamp to climb, balance, swing and zip through three aerial courses after Jungle Island’s regular daytime activity has ended.

Night Trek includes both lower Explorer courses and one upper course from the Thrill-Seeker experience. The route reaches approximately 35 feet above the ground and combines suspended bridges, balance elements, cable traverses and ziplines in the nighttime setting.

Highlights:

  • Ages 9 and older
  • Minimum height: 55 inches
  • Approximately 1½ hours
  • Access to three aerial courses
  • Includes both Explorer courses and one upper Thrill-Seeker course
  • Reaches approximately 35 feet above the ground
  • Headlamp experience after dark
  • Self-guided after a staff safety briefing
  • Maximum participant weight: 275 pounds
  • Safety harness, helmet and required equipment included
  • Generally offered on select Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings
  • Advance reservations required

Night Trek is the most distinctive choice for repeat visitors, families with older children, couples and adventurous groups looking for an unusual nighttime activity in Miami. Availability is limited, and reservations currently must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Minors ages 9 through 14 must have a participating adult climb with them throughout Night Trek. Nonparticipating companions cannot follow from the ground during the nighttime experience.

Zip Line in Miami and Aerial Obstacle Courses

This experience offers much more than a single zip line in Miami. Each route combines ziplines with suspended bridges, balance games, net walkways, cable traverses and elevated platforms. Participants move through an interconnected aerial course rather than simply riding one zipline from beginning to end.

For travelers searching for Zip Line Miami experiences, the course options make it possible to choose the right combination of height, duration and physical challenge. Younger children can remain close to the ground, while the upper routes give older children and adults a more demanding Miami Zip Line and climbing experience.

A Tree Top Adventure in the Heart of Miami

This tree top adventure feels removed from the surrounding city even though it is centrally located at Jungle Island. Tropical vegetation surrounds the aerial elements, while portions of the higher courses provide views toward Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline.

Travelers may also search for the attraction as Tree Top Trekking Miami. The established attraction name is Treetop Trekking Miami, and all four experiences described below take place at its Jungle Island location.

What to Expect at Treetop Trekking Miami

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your reservation. Participants and accompanying guests must complete the required liability waiver. Staff will confirm eligibility, fit each participant with the required safety equipment and explain how to move through the course.

After the briefing, participants enter their selected course and progress through its obstacles at their own pace. Depending on the course, the experience may include:

  • Suspended wood and rope bridges
  • Balance logs and games
  • Net walkways
  • Cable traverses
  • Elevated platforms
  • Aerial obstacle elements
  • Multiple ziplines

The courses are self-guided. Staff help participants begin and supervise from the ground rather than accompanying each person through the course.

Treetop Trekking is a physical outdoor activity. Participants should be prepared to climb, balance, reach and move independently while wearing a harness. The Explorer and Thrill-Seeker courses are a more substantial physical challenge than a traditional guided zipline ride.

During Night Trek, participants navigate using a headlamp. Because the park is not open for ordinary nighttime access, no one may follow participants from the ground, and additional companions must wait outside Jungle Island.

A Miami Aerial Adventure Park in a Tropical Setting

This Miami aerial adventure park is located within Jungle Island on Watson Island, along the shores of Biscayne Bay. Portions of the aerial courses open to views across the bay as well as the Miami skyline. The setting places visitors between two of Miami’s most popular areas: Downtown Miami and Miami Beach.

Instead of traveling far outside the city for a treetop course, visitors can add an outdoor adventure to a Miami sightseeing day without leaving the central Miami area. The tropical vegetation, elevated obstacles and skyline views create an experience that feels removed from the city while remaining close to major hotels and attractions.

Depending on availability and separate admission requirements, visitors may also choose to explore other Jungle Island experiences before or after their trek.
